The number two, like the scripture says, really is better than one. You can’t build anything starting with just one. You can’t multiply with just one. Even life itself begins with two. And relationships? They move at the speed of trust—between two people.
Week after week, we open our doors for prenatal and parenting classes at the Hope House Parenting Center. Some days we’re blown away by the turnout. More women around the table—sharing insights, asking honest questions, and encouraging one another—creates a powerful environment where confidence grows, and burdens get lighter. It’s beautiful to watch moms rally around other moms, helping carry emotional loads and offering a listening ear.
Other days, only one or two moms come. But even then, the power of two is unmistakable.

During one of our Thursday Bible studies (held every week from 12–1 PM), a young mom arrived with her baby—just her. No one else came that day. As she talked with the volunteer leading the study, the conversation went deeper, and “M” gave her heart to Jesus right there. That moment not only changed her life, it deeply encouraged our volunteer, who had been walking through her own challenges but chose to keep showing up.
“M” kept attending classes, got connected to a local church, and was later baptized. One evening in class, she sat with another mom who had been struggling. “M” shared her story, encouraged her in the Lord, and sparked a meaningful connection—becoming a lifeline in the stormy sea of single motherhood.
That’s the power of two. That’s the power of showing up, even when you’re not expecting a crowd.
Another mom, “R,” who has been walking with us for a while, has been so impacted by her experience that she can’t keep quiet. When she heard about a young woman in our community considering abortion, she stepped in. She told her about our clinic, encouraged her to come, and—most importantly—made sure she knew she wouldn’t be alone. “R” came with her to her appointment. That mom chose life and accepted the support offered to her. Because of two, a life was saved.
You + another… the impact is limitless.
Maybe you could give two hours to volunteer in childwatch during class.
Maybe you and a friend could serve together at the Thrift Shop.
Maybe you could pick up two boxes of diapers for the Baby Mall, or bring two gifts to the next Embrace Grace baby shower.
Maybe you have just $2—enough to provide a mom with a printed picture of her baby’s ultrasound.
Are you praying for a way to connect with someone… or for a way to multiply your impact? We would love to walk that path with you.
