Power of Prayer

At our clinic, prayer is the foundation of all our activities. We rely on it for everything we do, including medical services, client care, and administration. For us, prayer is a dialogue with God, and it reflects a humble attitude of submission to His will. We recognize that waiting for God’s response can be challenging, but we believe that there is great power in surrendering our will to Him. When we trust Him to meet our needs or provide solutions, we allow God to work in ways that we cannot anticipate or imagine.

Hope House is about to celebrate its 35th anniversary in a few months, and numerous prayers have been offered throughout the years. In 1988, when abortion rates were at their highest level since Roe v. Wade, a small group of people from First Presbyterian Church in Moultrie prayed for God to help them establish a pregnancy center in Moultrie, GA. By God’s grace, their prayers were answered, and 35 years later, Hope House remains a beacon of hope and support for families dealing with unplanned or complicated pregnancies.

Every day, our nurses and support staff pray for God to touch the hearts of those we serve. While offering counsel and education, they whisper prayers between pregnancy tests and ultrasounds. They pray for peace, understanding, strength, discernment, grace, and patience, and then wait for God to lead and move in the hearts of the women He sent our way.

We pray for those who generously give their time and resources to support our ministry at Hope House. We do not receive any financial support from the state or federal government and instead rely solely on the proceeds from our thrift shop sales and donations from our partners to be able to serve our community. However, we have faith that God always provides for us and are grateful for the generosity of our supporters.

We are grateful for the blessings we have received over the years, and we stand in awe of what God has done to meet every need and sustain this vital mission. We would like to thank all those who continue to pray for us, volunteer their time in our parenting center and thrift shop, and donate to this ministry.
