Father God, I come before you humbly and fully aware of my own faults and shortcomings. You are God Almighty; no one compares to Your great power and authority. You are steadfast and unchanging. You change times and seasons; You remove kings and set up kings; You give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who understand; You reveal deep and hidden things; You know what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with You. I give You thanks and praise for who You are. Please continue to provide me peace during frustrating and somewhat difficult times as they are filled with fear and doubt, but there is no fear in You. I pray for peace and understanding to come to those in authority responsible for making and preserving law and order. I pray that Godly wisdom and understanding would return to those in government and that wickedness in high places would be pulled down for good. Bring knowledge and discernment to our leaders to create laws that protect the vulnerable and enact actual resolutions. Father, I trust You and give you thanks in all things.
