Life gets busy. Between work, appointments, parenting, and everything in between, it’s easy for our spiritual lives to get pushed to the side. That’s why it has been such a joy to watch what God is doing through Embrace Grace—an interactive Bible study offered at Southside Baptist Church through a partnership with Hope House Women’s Clinic, with additional support from volunteer leaders across several other local churches. Together, this multichurch team has created a space where moms connect in ways that feel genuine, meaningful, and deeply hopeful.
When we first began praying for a way to support moms more intentionally, we never imagined how quickly this outreach would grow. Yet here we are—celebrating a ministry that is overflowing with God’s goodness. Just this year, four women made a profession of faith. Four! Each story is a reminder that God is still in the business of changing hearts, restoring hope, and rewriting stories in ways only He can.

What makes Embrace Grace so special is how real and relational it is. Moms sit together, open their Bibles, talk about life, and pray through the hard stuff. There’s room for vulnerability, laughter, tears, and everything in between. The friendships that grow out of this group run deep—they strengthen faith, spark healing, and give women a safe place to be fully themselves.
And the impact? It’s powerful.
As the weeks go by, we see moms gaining confidence, learning to lean on the Lord, and finding a community they didn’t know they were missing. Their faith is growing, and their families are feeling the ripple effects. Following Jesus isn’t meant to be a solo journey—and in this space, no one walks alone.

Here are just a few of the stories that have touched our hearts this year:
• Mom “R”
R was hesitant to even start the program because she was still considering abortion. But after meeting with our nurses again, she chose life for her baby and decided to give Embrace Grace a try. She told us:
“Embrace Grace has definitely been changing me for the better. Coming into this group, I honestly had no hope or faith. But one night on my way home from group, I just broke down crying and praying. When I finally let go and gave it to God, He started working everything out in my favor. This group helped me not only find my path to Him but to create my own. Things still aren’t perfect, but God keeps showing me that He’s with me every step and will never leave me.”
• Mom “J”
After experiencing the heartbreak of losing a baby and then the joy of another pregnancy, J shared:
“I was embraced by His grace—not just through His mercy, but through the angels in this program. It’s been such a blessing. When you don’t think you’re ready, God will show you that you are. The weight has been lifted; I am free!”
J later visited the church, surrendered her life to Jesus, and is now being discipled. We’re so excited to see how God continues to grow her faith.
• Mom “A”
A came to us after the father of her baby was tragically killed. She said:
“We are so grateful for Embrace Grace. Without this, I would feel so lost and worthless. This group welcomed me with open arms and showed me the true meaning of self-esteem and how worthy we are. Thank you for giving me my first baby shower, a maternity photoshoot, and a reason to keep going.”
These are the moments that remind us why this ministry matters.

As we look ahead, we’re praying for more than numbers. We’re praying for deeper relationships—real friendships, stronger faith, and lasting transformation. God has already done so much, and we trust He’ll continue to draw more moms into this community where they can find support, hope, and Him.
If you—or your church—would like to get involved with future Embrace Grace programs, we would genuinely love to hear from you!
